The Knee Wellness Center serves two important purposes: it allows for the seamless transfer of surgery patients to our team of rehabilitation specialists, and provides nonsurgical patients with all of the resources and equipment needed to facilitate their knee treatment plan. Here, KCI patients receive personalized care that may include physical therapy, pain management, exercise and training recommendations, and return-to-activity guidelines.

The Knee Restoration Center, under the leadership of Dr. Farr, focuses primarily on the treatment of knee problems that involve damage to the knee cartilage. Cartilage damage, which can occur as a result of age, stress, disease, or injury, represents one of the most common causes of knee pain. For these and other knee problems that are best treated without major surgery, Knee Restoration Center patients will benefit from Dr. Farr’s experience with:
Cartilage transplantation Cartilage grafting Arthroscopic debridement and microfracture Cartilage cell implantation Joint lubrication
At the Knee Restoration Center, Dr. Farr also performs osteotomy, a procedure in which he repositions bones that are not properly aligned.

The Knee Replacement Center, under the leadership of Dr. Kolisek, is dedicated to the care of patients with severe knee problems that require major surgery. In a total or partial (unicompartmental) knee replacement, Dr. Kolisek replaces the damaged bone or tissue with new knee parts—metal or ceramic pieces that fit onto the ends of the shin and thighbone with a plastic piece between them to act as a bearing—providing complete pain relief. A typical patient returns home from the hospital 4 to 10 days after joint replacement surgery, is 80% recovered within 3 months, and is fully recovered living a pain-free, active lifestyle in 6 to 12 months.
